Telangana: Class VI boy run over by school bus, stable now
HYDERABAD: A class VI student of private school was seriously injured after being hit by the school's own bus near its Kushaiguda campus on Friday morning.
The victim, Chaitanya Gopisetty, a resident of Subhash Chandra Nagar Colony, was cycling to school around 8 am when the bus struck him from behind while turning left. "The left front portion of the bus hit him, causing him to fall. His right hand came under the front tyre," said Kushaiguda inspector L Bhaskar Reddy.
Chaitanya was rushed to Yashoda Hospital , where he underwent surgery. His condition is now stable. Police have taken the driver into custody and booked a case under Section 125(a) of the BNS for causing hurt by an act endangering life or personal safety.
