Tourist hurt in Jaisalmer after stray cow attacks her
JAISALMER: Stray cattle menace in Jaisalmer seems to be getting out of control. On Wednesday, a woman tourist from Japan was seriously injured after being attacked by a stray cow. Yuseco and her mother Machisco were going to Chadidarpara area when a stray cow attacked Yuseco and she fell on a stone, injuring her head, hand and waist.
People took her to a government hospital. However, municipal council seems indifferent towards the menace.
In 2018, one Pankaj Kumar filed a PIL, on which permanent Lok adalat on February 13, 2019 ordered municipal council to find a permanent solution for the problem, but no action has been taken as yet. Pankaj is planning to file a contempt petition in this regard. In last few months in Jaisalmer, a dozen tourists have been injured in attacks by stray cattle.
