Uttar Pradesh: 2-year-old missing boy found dead

Agra: The body of a two-and-a-half-year-old boy, who was missing since Monday evening, was found near his uncle’s house in Firozabad district. It is suspected that he was murdered.

The boy hailed from Bada Lalpur village of Rasoolpur police jurisdiction. His body was spotted on Thursday morning at around 7:30 am by local boys who were playing in the farm field.

Speaking with TOI, B D Pandey, station house officer of Rasoolpur, said, “The body has been sent for an autopsy to ascertain exact cause of death. We are questioning victim’s relatives after his body was found in a farm field near his uncle’s house.”

The SHO said, “Earlier on Monday, at around 5 pm, he went missing while playing outside his house. His father, Satyendra, lodged a missing complaint, after which we used social media to get information about the boy’s whereabouts. We will add IPC section 302 (murder) in the FIR once the post-mortem report confirms cause of death,” added SHO.
