Gurgaon shocker: 29-year-old MNC executive found dead; cops quiz boyfriend
GURGAON: A day after a 29-year-old woman was found dead at her rented accommodation in DLF-3's V-block, police questioned a man with whom she had purportedly been in a relationship for the past seven years.
According to police sources, the man used to visit the paying guest accommodation of the woman - who worked with a multinational company - daily but had not met her since Monday. The 29-year-old man is a resident of Uttam Nagar in Delhi. Both worked in the same organisation previously, but later they joined different organisations.
The youngest of three orphaned sisters, the woman, who hailed from Najafgarh in Delhi, is suspected to have died by suicide on Monday evening.
Investigators said the woman spoke with both the man and her sister on Monday morning.
She was also going through mental health problems, was undergoing treatment for the same and was known to have a short temper as well, a police officer said.
Her body was discovered on Wednesday evening after the PG caretaker alerted the police authorities about a strong foul smell coming out from her room.
"The smell was present for two days but became significantly stronger on Wednesday afternoon, prompting the caretaker to alert us," a police officer said on Thursday. "We are investigating all angles, including their relationship. However, nothing suspicious has been found in the case yet. We are waiting for the postmortem report," the officer said.
