MLA accuses ZPM of funds mismanagement

Aizawl: K Hrahmo, a BJP MLA in Mizoram, on Monday unleashed a scathing attack on the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) govt, accusing it of failing to secure Centre-funded projects as well as mismanaging the state's finances, reports HC Vanlalruata.

Speaking at a political session organised by Mizoram BJP, Hrahmo criticised the govt's inability to implement effective projects, claiming that the few they had executed were classified as ‘departmental works', preventing the collection of GST.

"From Jan to June 2025, GST collections have continued to decline. A major issue here is the state's inability to secure project funds from the Centre, which has caused a significant financial gap," Hrahmo said.
