Nashik/Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, who was in Jalgaon on Thursday, said for the INDIA bloc politicians, their families are their world, unlike PM Narendra Modi for whom, the people of the country are his family. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, even chief minister Eknath Shinde criticized the opposition and previous govts.

Addressing a poll rally in Jalgaon, where Smita Wagh (Jalgaon) and Raksha Khadse (Raver) filed their nomination forms, Fadnavis called the INDIA bloc alliance a “khichdi” of 26 parties led by Rahul Gandhi. At the same time, he said the NDA is a solid alliance led by PM Narendra Modi.

Fadnavis also claimed that it was for the first time in the history that 60% of Union ministers at Centre were from SC, ST, OBC and other deprived classes. He also underlined that the speeches of the opposition politicians lacked real issues and cursed govt for nothing.

“The INDIA bloc is nothing more than a khichdi. Our alliance is a powerful engine that has bogies with space for women, Dalits, OBCs... everybody. On the other hand, there are no bogies in the INDIA bloc. They consider themselves the engine,” said Fadnavis.

He added that the Rahul Gandhi engine has space only for Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi, and the Sharad Pawar engine has space for Supriya Sule. The engine led by Uddhav Thackeray has space only for Aaditya and not even for Sanjay Raut. None of them have space for the common man, said Fadnavis.

“All these engines are pulling each other in all directions. They are hardly moving. However, in NDA, the bogies of different political parties have space for the common man and they are aligned with the Modi engine. We are all treading the path of development,” he said.

In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, chief minister Eknath Shinde criticized the Congress manifesto. “The Congress does not have the right to release a manifesto. To be honest, the party put the country in a pit for five-six decades,” he said at a rally for the party’s Aurangabad candidate Sandipan Bhumare.

On Thursday, CM Shinde, also visited Maratha reservation petitioner Vinod Patil’s home for a patch up. He later expressed confidence that he will help Bhumare to win the Aurangabad LS seat. During his public address, he said that this time, people will vote only for bow and arrow, the Shiv Sena symbol. “This time, there will be no division votes and people will vote only for Sena,” he said.

He said that for these many years, Muslims were used only as a vote bank and nothing was done by any govt to improve their condition prior to 2014. He also took on Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and said that they should abstain from below the belt remarks against PM Narendra Modi and against us.

Reacting to NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar releasing a manifesto, Shinde said: “Sharad Pawar was Union agriculture minister and was CM. What did he do? He did nothing. Had he done anything, the farmers would not have been in such a bad condition.”

He claimed that so far, the incumbent state govt has done the best.
