Elderly man dies after health issue at NIT swimming pool

Nagpur: A 74-year-old man died after developing health complications while swimming at the NIT Swimming Pool in Ambazari on Friday morning.

The deceased, Jayant Narayan Kawre, was a resident of Atre Layout. According to police, Kawre had gone for his regular morning swim around 9.45am on Friday when he became unwell in the water. Bystanders quickly pulled him out and rushed him to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Based on a report filed by Sanjay Kargutkar (62), a resident of HB Estate, Sonegaon, the Bajaj Nagar police have registered a case of accidental death.
