3-day camp to address complaints of power consumers from today
Varanasi: The Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam will organise a three-day camp from July 17 as part of the efforts of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation and its associated power distribution companies to address complaints related to new connections, load enhancement, faulty meters, bill corrections, service changes, bill payments, and other related issues.
According to the PuVVNL spokesperson, every complaint at the mega camp will be registered at the 1912 helpdesks, and the correct details of the complainant/applicant will be recorded. Consumers can directly register their complaints and details at the helpdesk upon reaching the mega camp, and they will be provided with a receipt for their complaint on the spot. Action on bill revisions and other matters in response to the received complaints will be ensured to be completed within a week in every case. Each complaint will be considered, and if necessary, a clear report on issues like correct meter readings or faulty meters will be obtained in the prescribed format. Based on the report, bill revisions and other complaints will be resolved. After bill revision, a Bill Revision Memo (BRIM) will be automatically generated from RMS, which each consumer can view in their online account.
To address electricity bill corrections and other complaints and pay special attention to consumer interests, district/division allocations will be made to officers at UP Power Corporation and associated DISCOM levels. Reports related to the camp will be obtained from these officers daily, and any shortcomings/errors observed in the camp will be resolved.
