Andhra Pradesh: Intermediate schedule out, theory exams from Feb 23 to Mar 24

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has released the tentative schedule for intermediate public examinations for both first year (10+1) and second year (10+2) students for 2025-26 academic year. As per the schedule, theory examinations will commence on Feb 23 and conclude on Mar 24, 2026. All exams will be conducted in the forenoon session.

In an official statement issued on Friday, BIE officials said the timetable is provisional and subject to change based on the declaration of public holidays such as Holi, Ugadi, and Ramzan by the govt, adding that any revisions to the schedule will be communicated through proper channels. Practical examinations for general courses will be held from Feb 1 to 10, while vocational course practicals are scheduled from Jan 27 to Feb 10. These exams will be conducted in two sessions daily, including Sundays.

In addition to the main theory and practical exams, two mandatory non-core papers will also be held. The ethics and human values examination is scheduled for Jan 21, followed by the environmental education examination on Jan 23. These exams are compulsory for all intermediate students across both general and vocational streams. While the marks are not counted toward the final aggregate, students are required to pass both papers to qualify for the intermediate certificate.

Additional subject-specific examinations include the bridge course mathematics paper for BiPC students, on Mar 14 and 16. Furthermore, the Samagra Shiksha vocational trade (NSQF level-4) theory exam will be held on Feb 13. This standardised exam is conducted for students pursuing vocational education under the national skills qualifications framework at the senior secondary level and is aimed at certifying their theoretical understanding in their respective trades.
