UPMSP releases class 10 and 12 compartment exam 2025 timetable: Check full schedule here
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has released the detailed timetable for the UP Board Compartment Examinations 2025 for both Class 10 and Class 12 students. These supplementary exams are a crucial opportunity for students who did not clear one subject in the main board examinations or for those looking to improve their marks in a particular subject.
The compartment exams serve as a valuable second chance, allowing students to secure a passing certificate without waiting an entire academic year. This ensures that students can continue their higher education journey or apply for competitive exams and job opportunities without unnecessary interruption. By conducting these exams in July, the board enables a timely progression into the next academic or career phase.
As per the notification, the UP Board Class 10 and 12 compartment exams are scheduled to be held on July 19, 2025. Students are advised to stay updated with official announcements and prepare well in advance to make the most of this opportunity.
UPMSP compartment exam timings and shifts
The Uttar Pradesh Board has divided the examination into two shifts to manage the large number of students efficiently.
Class 10: The compartment exam will be conducted in the morning shift, from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM.
Class 12: The exam will take place in the afternoon shift, from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
Students are advised to report to their designated exam centres at least 45 minutes before the scheduled start time. Heads of schools have been instructed to download and issue admit cards with signatures to all eligible candidates.
Key instructions for examinees
To maintain transparency and ensure fair practices during the examination, UPMSP has issued the following important guidelines:
• Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smartwatches, or any other communication devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
• CCTV cameras equipped with audio recording features will be operational throughout the centres to prevent any misconduct.
• Centre superintendents have been tasked with ensuring that crowd control measures are implemented to avoid overcrowding in and around the exam premises.
Eligibility criteria for compartment exams
Only specific categories of students are eligible to appear for the compartment exams:
• Students who have failed in one subject — either theory or practical/internal, are allowed to reappear.
• Those who passed but wish to improve marks in one subject can also apply.
• Candidates who failed in both theory and internal/practical components must reattempt both segments.
The online application process for the compartment exams was held from May 19 to June 10, 2025 via the official UPMSP portal — upmsp.edu.in.
