Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has officially begun preparations for the 17th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), marking a major milestone—25 years since the show first aired. Taking to social media on July 3, 2025, the legendary actor reflected on this significant date. “Today 3rd July, 2025, as I work on this year’s season KBC prep, I am told by the KBC team—3rd July 2000, the first broadcast of KBC happened. 25 years, the life of KBC,” he wrote.
Big B, who has become synonymous with the quiz-based reality show over the decades, is already featured in early promotional videos and posters for the upcoming season. Filming for the promos is expected to begin shortly, with full-scale production of the show scheduled to start later this month. Season 17 is set to premiere in the first week of August.
