Hostel wall caves in after landslide in Arunachal Pradesh, 2 die

GUWAHATI: Two girl students died after the wall of a residential school collapsed due to landslide at Namtsering area of Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday.

The landslide was triggered by torrential rain.

The deceased have identified as Rinchin Lhamu (10), a student of Class V and Genden Wangmu (10), a Class VI student.

Sange Pema (12), a student of Class VII, also suffered serious injuries.

About 19 girl students were at the residential school when the landslide occurred around 3.15am.
