Seeds on sale in Gujarat: R C Faldu
RAJKOT: Seeds of different crops are on sale from 1,500 centres in the state, said state agriculture minister R C Faldu on Wednesday.
“Of 93,380 quintal groundnut seeds, 50,600 quintal have been distributed so far. Of those distributed, 40,000 quintals have been sold by Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd (GUJCOMASOL),” said Faldu while participating in the ninth cabinet meeting convened by chief minister Vijay Rupani through video conferencing from Gandhinagar.
Faldu participated in the meeting through video conferencing at Jamnagar district collectorate.
Faldu also discussed the arrangement of transportation for the labourers from Dahod and Godhra who come to Saurashtra every year during the farming season.
Apart from Rupani and Faldu, those who participated in the meeting included state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma, state home minister Pradeepsinh Jadeja, chief secretary, superintendent of police and secretary to the CM.
