It is believed that he aids in the removal of bad energies from a person's life, offers spiritual freedom, shields followers from harm, and performs a soul-cleansing rite to get rid of accumulated sins. Kalashtami 2025: Puja Rituals
  • Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath before commencing puja rites.
  • Take a wooden plank where you can place Shiva Parivaar and if you have image of Kaal Bhairav then you can keep it there or Natraj form.
  • Light a diya with desi ghee and and recite shiva chalisa, kaal bhairav ashtakam .
  • Chant shiva mantras to invoke the idol and seek blessings.
  • In the evening, you must go to the temple where you can light a mustard oil diya in front of Kaal Bhairav idol and offer Meetha Rot, which is made up of wheat flour and jaggery or you can prepare sweet poode.
  • Perform Rudrabhishekam to shivalingam with panchamrit.
  • Bel leaves are a significant offering to Lord Shiva on Masik Kalashtami. They are placed on the Shiva Lingam or the idol of Kaal Bhairav during the puja, symbolizing the devotee's devotion and submission to Shiva.
