Yet, players like Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, and Jalen Hurts are now making more annually than Patrick Mahomes since his contract was designed for longevity with the team as well.

Many fans are surprised to see him fall so far down the list. But Patrick Mahomes doesn’t seem upset. In interviews, he has said that winning games is more important than making more money.
