The much-anticipated reboot of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will go on floors on July 3, after facing a slight snag even before the cameras started rolling. Sources reveal that the shoot, originally scheduled to begin in mid-June, was temporarily delayed as the production team made changes to the set owing to Vastu-related concerns.

A source said, “The team had almost locked the setup and begun preps, but a Vastu consultant pointed out a few key energy flow issues with the current layout. Since it’s a fresh start for such an iconic brand, producer Ekta Kapoor didn’t want to take any chances.”
So far, the makers have only shot the pilot episode. The daily soap, which originally aired in 2000, ran for eight years. Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay will reprise their iconic roles of Tulsi Virani and Mihir Virani in the reboot.

Meanwhile, the team is working round the clock to ensure the show launches without any further hiccups. We reached out to Ekta Kapoor and her team, but did not receive a response till the time of going to press.

In an earlier interview with Bombay Times, Amar spoke about the return of the show. He said, " I didn’t think Kyunki... would still be such a big deal, especially with so many shows airing today. But people from all age groups seem excited. They keep asking me about Tulsi and Mihir, about the show, and it’s made me realise how deep the connection still is. So, yes, the pressure is definitely there this time.”
