B'luru: Four arrested for murder of rowdy-sheeter who threatened to kill them

Bengaluru: The Kadugodi police have arrested four individuals accused of murdering a rowdy-sheeter who had allegedly threatened to kill them with deadly weapons.

The deceased has been identified as Puneeth (25), while the arrested have been named as Mahesh, Srikanth, Rajesh, and Sumanth.

Police sources said that Puneeth had earlier purchased a bike from Mahesh for Rs 40,000 but had refused to pay the amount. When Mahesh demanded the money, Puneeth not only refused to return it but also allegedly threatened to kidnap Mahesh’s daughter.

Fearing for his family’s safety, Mahesh tried to resolve the matter through mutual contacts and negotiations. However, Puneeth remained aggressive and allegedly threatened to kill both Mahesh and his acquaintance during the talks.

On the night of June 10 at around 9:30 pm, Puneeth, accompanied by his friend Arbaaz, went near Mahesh’s house. He allegedly attempted to attack Mahesh with a weapon. However, Mahesh managed to snatch the weapon from Puneeth and retaliated.

While Arbaaz fled the scene, Puneeth was caught by Mahesh and his associates. The group reportedly attacked him with weapons, leading to his death.

Kadugodi police have registered a case, arrested all four accused, and sent them to judicial custody.
