Senior judge dies of heart attack in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi: A senior judicial officer passed away in Kalaburagi on Monday due to a heart attack.

The deceased has been identified as Vishwanath V Mugathi (44), who was serving as the Third Additional Senior Civil Judge in the Kalaburagi district court.

Judge Mugathi had been transferred to Kalaburagi only last week. On Monday morning, he arrived at the court premises as usual. However, before entering the courtroom, he complained of chest pain.

He was immediately rushed to a hospital but reportedly passed away before he could be admitted. The sudden demise of the judge has shocked the local legal community and the district administration.
