Bomb scare: 5 Delhi schools receive threats via email; alert sounded

NEW DELHI: Five schools in Delhi received bomb threats on Wednesday, marking the third consecutive day of such threats targeting educational institutions in the national capital, officials said.

According to Delhi Police, nearly 10 schools and a college have received similar threats over the past three days.

The schools that received threats on Wednesday include St. Thomas ( Dwarka ), Vasant Valley (Vasant Kunj), Mother's International (Hauz Khas), Richmond Global (Paschim Vihar), and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya (Lodi Estate). Notably, this was the second bomb threat in less than 24 hours for St. Thomas School .


Staff members staying overnight at the schools were immediately evacuated as a precautionary measure.

Police teams, including the bomb disposal squad, dog squad, and cyber experts, were rushed to the campuses and conducted thorough searches of the premises.
