ECR hospital adds one more dialysis machine

Patna: Super specialty hospital of the East Central Railway (ECR) at Karbighaiya in city has added a new advanced dialysis machine , enhancing its nephrology services . With this, the hospital now operates three dialysis machines to serve its growing number of kidney patients.

Talking to this newspaper here on Wednesday, medical director (MD) of the hospital, Dr Subodh Kumar Mishra said the hospital which has a dedicated 20-bed nephrology department, currently caters to around 30 chronic kidney disease patients who require regular dialysis. The availability of a third machine is expected to improve patient care and reduce waiting time, he said.

ECR GM Chhatrasal Singh inaugurated the new advanced dialysis machine on Monday. The GM emphasised the railway administration's commitment to expanding medical facilities for patients, particularly, those battling chronic kidney conditions.
