Illegal alcohol seized, one held in Churu

Jhunjhunu: Bhanipura police and Churu special police team in a joint action on Sunday arrested an interstate smuggler Swarooparam in Churu, along with a container filled with illegal alcohol. The value of the seized illegal alcohol is approximately Rs 0.8 crore.

Bhanipura SHO Raisinh Suthar stated that during a blockade in front of the Bhanipura police station on Sunday, the Bhanipura police and Churu special police team seized a container of illegal alcohol being smuggled from Punjab to Gujarat. Additionally, one smuggler was arrested in the case.

He mentioned that the container was filled with a total of 526 cartons of illegally manufactured alcohol from Punjab, containing a total of 6,312 bottles. The police are interrogating the accused. TNN
