Injured man found on railway tracks near Mumbra station

Thane: A grievously injured man, around 45 years of age, was found on the tracks near the Diva end of Mumbra station platforms 3 and 4 on Saturday evening, officials said. This is the same stretch where a few commuters fell off two trains on June 9, leading to the death of five people and leaving nine others injured.

Senior inspector Archana Dusane of Thane railway police said the man, who is yet to be identified, has been admitted to Sion hospital for treatment.

Railway police are waiting for him to regain consciousness to record his statement.
