Need exact reason for blast, not assumptions: Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy to officials
HYDERABAD: Expressing his displeasure over not getting a clear answer for the cause of explosion, chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to have an expert panel determine the precise reason.
The chief minister visited the accident site and also a private hospital where the injured are being treated.
"Don't conclude with general opinions or assumptions. I need a specific reason. I need a detailed report on the incident. Conduct inspections in chemical companies to identify shortcomings to prevent such big fire accidents and also submit a report on safety measures taken in the companies immediately," the CM told officials.
The CM told the factories and boilers department to investigate both historical industrial issues and specific factors that resulted in the current incident.
While directing officials to conduct periodic inspections, the CM said: "We will identify those responsible and take stringent action. The state govt will also bring a transparent policy to prevent such incidents in the future."
