Bajaj Auto continues to expand its Pulsar range by launching a new variant of the Pulsar N160-this time with a single-seat layout and dual-channel ABS, offering a safer and more comfortable riding experience. While the single-seat version was already introduced earlier this year, the addition of dual-channel ABS in this variant makes it a much more balanced offering for daily riders and enthusiasts alike.

In terms of design, the new variant remains identical to the standard N160. However, it swaps the split seat and split grab rails for a longer, more comfortable single seat and a one-piece grab rail. This change is aimed at enhancing pillion comfort, making longer rides more enjoyable for both rider and passenger.

On the mechanical front, this new Pulsar N160 variant retains most of its hardware from the existing lineup. It comes with 37 mm telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 300 mm front disc and an upgraded 280 mm rear disc (compared to the 230 mm disc on the base model), improving overall stopping power and safety.

Key features remain unchanged and include a bi-functional LED projector headlamp, LCD instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts, and a USB charging port-all designed to enhance convenience and rider experience.

Powering the bike is a 164.82cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, producing 16 hp at 8750 rpm and 14.65 Nm of torque at 6750 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The engine continues to deliver a punchy performance suitable for both city rides and occasional highway runs.

With this launch, the Pulsar N160 lineup now includes four variants:

  • Base single-seat – ₹1,22,720

  • New single-seat with dual-channel ABS – ₹1,25,722

  • Split seat – ₹1,26,669

  • Inverted fork version – ₹1,36,992
(All prices ex-showroom)

Positioned neatly between the base and split-seat trims, the new variant offers the best of both worlds-comfort and enhanced safety-without a significant bump in price.
