Harley-Davidson is about to shift gears in a bold new direction. The legendary American motorcycle maker has announced plans to launch a brand-new, affordable entry-level bike under the name Sprint, aimed at younger riders and new markets. Scheduled to debut in 2026, the Harley-Davidson Sprint is shaping up to be one of the brand’s most significant new offerings in years.

According to Harley-Davidson CEO Jochen Zeitz , the Sprint project has been in development since 2021. The goal? To create a lightweight, approachable, and fun motorcycle that maintains the brand’s rugged DNA while appealing to a broader and more youthful audience. Zeitz emphasized that the new bike will carry Harley’s iconic spirit but with a more modern, adventurous twist designed for first-time riders or those seeking a more accessible Harley experience.

While the company hasn’t confirmed an official unveiling date, the Sprint is likely to be showcased at major international platforms such as EICMA 2025, giving motorcycle fans a sneak peek well before the 2026 launch. Design details remain under wraps, but it’s clear Harley is targeting a style that’s less “mature” and more urban, versatile, and affordable.

Speaking of affordability, Zeitz confirmed that the Sprint will be priced under USD 6,000, positioning it in a segment Harley-Davidson has never seriously entered before. Despite the lower price tag, the CEO is confident the Sprint will deliver strong profit margins thanks to smart engineering and focused market positioning.

The new entry-level bike won’t be riding solo either. Harley-Davidson is also planning to introduce another unnamed motorcycle, expanding its appeal to new-age motorcyclists who want performance, design, and brand prestige without breaking the bank.

In India, Harley currently offers 14 models, with the X440 serving as the most affordable option, priced at ₹2.40 lakh (ex-showroom). With the upcoming Sprint, Harley-Davidson is not just expanding its portfolio-it’s redefining what it means to ride a Harley. By stepping into the affordable segment, the brand aims to grow globally, reach younger riders, and shake up the competition with a stylish, powerful, and wallet-friendly alternative.
