Harley-Davidson X440 T Launched With Ride-by-wire & Traction Control
Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson have unveiled the latest addition to their co-developed premium motorcycle lineup – the H-D X440 T. Positioned as the top variant, the X440 T is priced at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and brings a host of new features, including advanced electronics and a reworked rear design. With its launch, the Denim variant has been discontinued, marking a shift to alloy wheels across all X440 models.
Advanced Electronics and Riding Aids
The X440 T introduces ride-by-wire technology to the platform for the first time. Riders can now select between two riding modes – Road and Rain – to adapt to varying conditions. Additional safety features include switchable traction control, switchable rear ABS, and a Panic Braking Alert system, enhancing rider confidence and safety.Redesigned Rear Subframe
Harley-Davidson has re-engineered the rear subframe of the X440 T, giving it an all-new tail section and redesigned grab handles. These changes improve pillion comfort and address previous criticisms regarding the rear-end proportions of the X440. The updated rear design reduces the visual gap between the wheel and fender, giving the motorcycle a more cohesive and angular stance. The new setup adds just 1.5kg to the kerb weight, bringing it to 192kg.Powertrain and Performance
The X440 T is powered by the same 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine found in other X440 variants. It produces 27hp and 38Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. While the engine remains unchanged, the new variant benefits from the enhanced electronics and improved ergonomics, offering a more refined riding experience.Colours, Pricing, and Availability
The X440 T is available in four colours – Black, Red, Blue, and White. With the Denim variant discontinued, all X440 models now come with alloy wheels as standard. Pricing for the range starts at Rs 2.34 lakh for the X440 Vivid, Rs 2.55 lakh for the X440 S, and Rs 2.79 lakh for the new X440 T. Bookings open on December 7 at Harley-Davidson and Hero Premia dealerships, with online reservations also available through the official X440 website.Next Story
