Hero MotoCorp is all set to rev up its electric game with a brand-new scooter under its EV brand, Vida. Teased ahead of its July 1 launch, the upcoming Vida VX2 promises to be a more affordable, practical addition to the current V2 lineup—aimed squarely at the everyday commuter.

A Scooter for the Masses
Unlike the sharper, futuristic design of the Vida V2, the VX2 leans into a more traditional, family-friendly aesthetic. Think familiar lines, a flat seat for comfort, and a wraparound LED headlamp that adds a touch of modern flair. Spotted arriving at dealerships, the VX2 also features a compact TFT display, staying minimal yet functional.

Range and Battery Options
Hero is keeping most details under wraps for now, but reports suggest the VX2 will offer two battery configurations: a 2.2kWh unit and a larger 3.4kWh pack. The base model is likely to come with a single removable battery, while the higher variant could pack two, delivering a claimed range of over 100 km. Under the hood, expect it to share core components—motor, chassis, and electronics—with the Vida V2.

Affordability at the Forefront
The biggest draw? Price. The Vida VX2 is expected to undercut the V2 range, which currently starts at ₹74,000 and stretches up to ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). This aggressive pricing strategy could make the VX2 a strong contender in the entry-level electric scooter segment.

Rivals on the Radar
Once launched, the VX2 will lock horns with popular budget EVs like the Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1X. With a more accessible price tag and practical design, Hero’s latest offering could be just what the everyday Indian rider has been waiting for.

Deliveries are expected to begin shortly after launch. Stay tuned—Hero’s electric ambitions are just getting started.
