Marking a highly anticipated return to the Indian market, Mercedes-Benz has launched the new-generation Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro. Priced at ₹3 crore and ₹3.65 crore (ex-showroom), respectively, the high-performance grand tourers are back after a five-year hiatus, stepping in as direct successors to the model phased out in 2020. With bookings now open, customer deliveries for the GT 63 are expected to begin by late 2025, while the more potent GT 63 Pro will arrive in early 2026.

Iconic V8 Performance With A Sharpened Edge

Both GT 63 models are powered by the iconic 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine—hand-assembled under AMG’s signature “One Man, One Engine” philosophy. The standard GT 63 churns out 585hp and 800Nm of torque, while the GT 63 Pro takes things further with 612hp and 850Nm, delivering an extra dose of performance for enthusiasts.

Both coupes come paired with a 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive layout, ensuring rapid power delivery and improved grip. The GT 63 sprints from 0–100kph in just 3.2 seconds, while the Pro shaves off a tenth with a blistering 3.1-second sprint—when equipped with high-grip Cup 2R tyres. The GT 63 Pro also holds a slight edge in top speed, reaching 317kph versus 315kph for the standard model.

Motorsport Collector’s Edition Adds F1 Flair

To mark the model’s return in style, Mercedes-AMG is offering a limited-run GT 63 Pro Motorsport Collector’s Edition. Mechanically identical to the Pro variant, this edition introduces exclusive paintwork and design flourishes inspired by the brand’s Formula One programme. With F1-influenced detailing, it aims to connect motorsport heritage with road-going excitement, adding rarity and collector appeal to the package.

More Practical Cabin With Signature AMG Design Cues

The new AMG GT range now sports a 2+2 seating layout, a configuration that enhances its practicality while retaining its two-door grand tourer identity. This layout was previously exclusive to the four-door AMG GT. The design sees evolutionary changes—long bonnet, sloping roofline, and a muscular liftback tailgate remain, but now with sharper elements like slimmer LED headlamps, a revised front bumper, and a reworked rear section.

Other new features include:

  • Redesigned alloy wheels across both models

  • A fresh take on the AMG GT grille

  • A five-angle active rear spoiler

  • Wider and longer overall proportions for improved presence and cabin comfort

  • The Pro variant takes it a step further with more aggressive visual cues and unique wheels that hint at its higher performance pedigree.

Advanced Aerodynamics Inspired By Formula One

Aerodynamic improvements on the new AMG GT series aren’t just visual. The models feature an active underbody element that deploys at speeds above 100kph, using the Venturi effect to increase downforce by pulling the car closer to the road surface. This system enhances high-speed stability and handling without compromising ride quality or design purity.

    Additional features include:

    • Flush door handles for cleaner aerodynamics

  • A flowing silhouette without harsh creases

  • Sleek LED tail-lights connected by a darkened strip

  • A rear diffuser and dual exhaust setup designed for both aesthetics and airflow efficiency

  • Booking Open, Deliveries Begin In Phases

Indian customers can now reserve the new AMG GT 63 models online or through authorised Mercedes-Benz dealerships. Deliveries for the standard GT 63 are set to commence by the end of 2025, while the GT 63 Pro and its Motorsport Collector’s Edition will follow in early 2026.

With this launch, Mercedes-Benz India strengthens its high-performance portfolio, offering Indian buyers a perfect blend of track-ready dynamics, iconic design, and everyday usability in a luxury coupe format.
