Rolls-Royce has officially introduced the Spectre Black Badge in the Indian market, marking the arrival of the brand’s most powerful production car ever. Priced at ₹9.50 crore (ex-showroom), this all-electric grand tourer represents a bold evolution in luxury motoring, combining ultra-modern electric performance with bespoke craftsmanship and dramatic styling. With dual motors, over 1,000 Nm of torque, and a design inspired by modern club culture, the Spectre Black Badge is unlike any other EV on Indian roads.

Performance Meets Prestige in Full Electric Form

Powering the Spectre Black Badge are two electric motors placed on each axle, forming an all-wheel-drive system. Together, they generate an impressive 659 horsepower and a massive 1,075 Nm of torque. This exceptional powertrain enables the luxury tourer to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds, an astonishing feat for a car of its size and presence.

Despite this increase in performance, the range remains practical for long-distance journeys. The 102 kWh battery offers a driving range between 493 to 530 km on a single charge, depending on real-world driving conditions. This parity with the standard Spectre in terms of range highlights Rolls-Royce’s dedication to refinement without compromise.

A Darker, More Daring Take on the Classic Spectre

Visually, the Black Badge edition leans into the sinister and bold. True to its name, it swaps out the standard chrome for a darkened aesthetic. The iconic Pantheon grille, Spirit of Ecstasy, and exterior accents like window surrounds and door handles are all finished in black or shadowed tones, giving the car an assertive personality.

One of the highlights is the new paint option – Vapour Violet, inspired by retro club culture and created to offer a deeper, more expressive look. Sitting on 23-inch forged alloy wheels, finished in either full black or a dual-tone scheme, the Spectre Black Badge commands instant attention wherever it goes.

Interior That Glows With Innovation and Craftsmanship

Step inside and you are met with one of Rolls-Royce’s most visually striking cabins yet. A new Infinity logo glows from the dashboard, surrounded by an ambient constellation of 5,500 tiny LED lights that create a celestial atmosphere. This Starlight-inspired detailing continues through the headliner, creating a night-sky effect for the cabin.

The luxury extends to Black Badge illuminated treadplates, updated materials, and a five-theme digital display interface that adapts to the driver’s mood. The new ‘Spirit’ infotainment system integrates seamlessly with this display, offering an intuitive and premium digital experience.

Engineering Tweaks for a Sportier Drive

While the Spectre Black Badge stays true to Rolls-Royce’s signature ride comfort, it adds a dose of dynamism. The chassis has been re-engineered with more steering weight and retuned suspension to offer sharper handling and better feedback. The result is a car that not only glides but also responds with precision when pushed harder.

The battery placement also helps with overall balance, lowering the centre of gravity and adding to the car’s stable yet luxurious handling on twisty roads and highways alike.

Exclusivity and Customisation: A True Rolls-Royce Trait

Beyond the factory spec, buyers in India can expect deep levels of personalisation. From custom paint jobs to bespoke interiors crafted from exotic materials, the Spectre Black Badge is built around each buyer’s vision. The Black Badge programme further expands this freedom, encouraging more expressive and edgy configurations.

The model commands a premium of ₹1.50 crore over the standard Spectre variant, but that premium isn’t just for show—it’s a ticket into the most commanding expression of electric luxury ever offered by Rolls-Royce.

The Future of Luxury Is Electric

The launch of the Spectre Black Badge in India signals a clear commitment from Rolls-Royce toward a fully electric future. By combining performance, design, and unmatched personalisation in an EV form, the company is not just adapting to change but leading it—with signature opulence.
