Royal Enfield is gearing up to expand its adventure lineup with the upcoming Himalayan 750. The test mule of the much-anticipated motorcycle was recently spotted in Leh, and spy shots suggest it is close to the final production stage. Though the brand has not officially confirmed the launch date, reports indicate that the Himalayan 750 could make its global debut at EICMA 2025.

Engine and Performance

At the heart of the new Himalayan will be a 750cc inline-twin engine , expected to be a larger, re-engineered version of the proven 649cc motor from Royal Enfield’s 650cc series. While exact figures remain under wraps, industry insiders suggest the engine may deliver around 50 hp of power and 60 Nm of torque—a significant jump for long-distance touring and highway cruising.

New Hardware and Features

The spy shots also reveal several hardware upgrades. The motorcycle is built on a new frame and subframe, paired with USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock for better handling and comfort. A major highlight is the dual disc setup at the front, offering stronger and more reliable braking performance.

The test mule was seen running on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, confirming that this variant leans towards a road-biased setup rather than hardcore off-road use. Despite the new design elements, the Himalayan 750 retains the rugged and adventure-ready DNA of its predecessors.

Expected Launch Timeline

While Royal Enfield is keeping details under wraps, speculation is strong that the motorcycle will make its first public appearance at EICMA 2025, followed by a possible India launch at Motoverse 2025 later in the year.

A Step Up in the Adventure Segment

The Himalayan 750 marks Royal Enfield’s boldest move yet into the premium adventure touring segment. With more power, updated hardware, and a road-focused orientation, the new Himalayan aims to strike the right balance between daily usability and long-distance touring.
