The newly launched Mini Cooper Convertible has created a buzz in the Indian luxury car market. Introduced by Mini India under BMW Group, the first batch of this premium open-top car was launched on December 12 and sold out within just 24 hours—far exceeding expectations.
Priced at ₹58.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mini Cooper Convertible is being brought to India as a completely built unit (CBU). The overwhelming response has prompted Mini India to open bookings for the next batch, with deliveries expected to begin early next year.
Powerful performance: 0–100 km/h in 6.9 secondsThe Mini Cooper Convertible is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch sport automatic gearbox. This setup delivers 201 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque. Thanks to this performance-oriented engine, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 240 km/h.
India’s most affordable convertibleDespite its premium positioning, the Mini Cooper Convertible has been launched as the most affordable convertible car in India. At ₹58.50 lakh (ex-showroom), it undercuts its closest rival, the MG Cyberster Electric Convertible
Mini is also offering a 2-year unlimited-kilometre warranty along with 24×7 roadside assistance, adding to the car’s appeal for luxury buyers.
Classic Mini design with modern touchesThe new Mini Cooper Convertible stays true to the brand’s iconic design language while incorporating fresh updates. At the front, it gets redesigned round LED headlamps with multiple lighting signatures and a new radiator grille. The side profile is enhanced with contrasting white or black ORVM caps and 18-inch dual-tone aerodynamic alloy wheels.
At the rear, the car features vertically styled LED taillamps with a sleek, flush surface design, giving it a modern yet unmistakably Mini look.
