Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the all-new Thruxton 400 , a stylish café racer that adds a fresh twist to the brand’s growing 400cc lineup. Priced at ₹2.74 lakh (ex-showroom), the Thruxton 400 joins the family that already includes the Speed 400, Speed T4, Scrambler 400 X, and Scrambler 400 XC.

Under the skin, it shares its heart with the Speed 400-a 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. However, Triumph has retuned the Thruxton’s motor to deliver 42 hp (up from 39 hp), while torque remains the same at 37 Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, complete with assist and slipper clutch for smoother shifts.

Design-wise, the Thruxton 400 brings a true café racer feel, thanks to clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors, semi-fairing, and a sportier riding triangle that encourages a more committed, aggressive posture.

Alongside this launch, Triumph has revised the price of its popular Speed 400, which now costs ₹2,50,551 (ex-showroom)-a hike of ₹4,177. Despite the increase, there are no changes to the bike’s design, features, or mechanicals. It still sports the same colors-Racing Yellow, Pearl White, Phantom Black, and Racing Red-and continues to offer adjustable brake and clutch levers.
