Volvo Cars India has introduced the 2025 edition of its luxury mid-size SUV, the XC60, bringing refined updates to both design and technology. Priced at ₹71.9 lakh (ex-showroom), the new facelift arrives as a single fully-loaded Ultra variant. While the core powertrain remains unchanged, the SUV now comes equipped with a larger infotainment display, a high-end sound system, and expanded ADAS features. The XC60 aims to strengthen Volvo’s position in the premium SUV segment with this latest upgrade.
Notably, the Indian version does not include the reworked front bumper and smoked tail-lamps seen in its international counterpart. Nonetheless, the design maintains Volvo’s understated yet premium Scandinavian identity.
To complement the visual interface, the SUV is equipped with a powerful 1,410W Bowers & Wilkins sound system featuring 15 speakers, delivering immersive audio quality. Additional touches such as wood dashboard inlays, Nappa leather upholstery, and massaging front seats reinforce the SUV’s luxury credentials. A 12.3-inch digital driver’s display ensures that essential vehicle data is easily accessible and crisply presented.
In addition to these advanced aids, the XC60 continues to offer eight airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system—reaffirming Volvo’s legacy as a leader in vehicle safety.
While there are no changes under the hood, this powertrain remains refined and efficient, providing a smooth balance of performance and daily usability that suits Indian roads and consumer preferences.
This latest update positions the XC60 strongly against rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, and Audi Q5, giving buyers in the premium segment a distinctive alternative that balances Scandinavian design with modern technology.
Subtle Exterior Changes With Enhanced Street Presence
While the structure and silhouette of the XC60 remain consistent, the facelift brings noticeable refinements to the exterior styling. The XC60 facelift retains its luxurious cabin layout but brings in meaningful digital upgrades. Enhanced ADAS And Safety Technologies Add Practical Benefits
The 2025 XC60 raises the bar in terms of safety with Volvo’s Smart Safety Network and an updated Level 2 ADAS suite. Mechanically, the XC60 facelift continues with the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This setup produces 250hp and 360Nm of torque. Power is transmitted through an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox to all four wheels, offering confident performance in various driving conditions. While there are no changes under the hood, this powertrain remains refined and efficient, providing a smooth balance of performance and daily usability that suits Indian roads and consumer preferences.
