e-Aadhaar Mobile App Coming Soon: Instantly Update Name, Address and Date of Birth with the All-in-One App

Aadhaar Services Get a Digital Upgrade : The Government of India is preparing to launch the e-Aadhaar mobile app , an all-in-one digital solution designed to make Aadhaar updates easier than ever. Developed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the upcoming app will allow users to update personal details like name, address, and date of birth without needing to visit Aadhaar Seva Kendras .

Expected to launch by the end of this year, the e-Aadhaar app is set to revolutionise how Aadhaar holders manage their details by offering a fast, secure, and user-friendly digital interface.

What is e-Aadhaar?

The e-Aadhaar mobile application is a new government initiative aimed at empowering users with seamless access to Aadhaar services. With this app, users can update key personal information - including name, residential address, phone number, and date of birth - directly from their smartphones.

By reducing dependency on physical enrolment centres, the app promotes convenience, transparency, and accessibility for millions of Aadhaar card holders across India.

AI-Powered Aadhaar Updates for Extra Security

One of the standout features of the e-Aadhaar app will be the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Face ID verification. This advanced technology will enhance digital security, making Aadhaar updates more reliable and reducing the risk of identity fraud.

Starting November, physical enrolment centres will only be required for biometric updates, such as fingerprint and iris scans. All other Aadhaar updates can be completed securely online.

Alongside the mobile app, the Aadhaar Good Governance Portal has been launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The portal simplifies the approval process for Aadhaar authentication requests, ensuring faster processing and greater inclusivity.

By improving the efficiency of Aadhaar-related services, this initiative complements the upcoming e-Aadhaar app, creating a more transparent and user-friendly ecosystem for Aadhaar users across the country.
