About the New Navi Mumbai International Airport

The Navi Mumbai International Airport, spread across 1,160 hectares, is one of India’s most ambitious aviation infrastructure projects.

Highlights of Phase 1:

  • Features one terminal and one runway

  • Built at a cost of ₹19,650 crore

  • Designed to handle 20 million passengers annually

  • Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 8

Developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, NMIA is India’s largest greenfield airport project.
