Ahmedabad: 19-year-old labourer stabbed by neighbour after refusing to bring food
AHMEDABAD: A 19-year-old labourer was allegedly attacked with a knife by a neighbour for declining to bring him food from a local eatery. The altercation took place on Friday afternoon outside the victim's residence in Ganesh Nagar, Narol. The complaint filed at Narol police station on Saturday states that the accused confronted the young labourer, demanding he fetch food.
Upon refusal, the neighbour allegedly resorted to verbal abuse, and physical assault, and pushed the victim to the ground. The situation escalated when the assailant retrieved a knife from his home and inflicted a wound on the left side of the victim's head before fleeing the scene.
Locals quickly responded by rushing the youth to LG Hospital. Narol Police have registered a case under the BNS sections for assault, causing harm with dangerous weapons, and other violations as per the Gujarat Police Act.
