In a jaw-dropping moment that stunned viewers across the country, a man miraculously crawled out of a heap of debris after a sudden flash flood devastated Dharali village in Uttarkashi , Uttarakhand on Tuesday.

Caught on camera by a local from a higher vantage point, the video shows the terrifying force of the Kheer Gad stream as it turned into a violent torrent, sweeping away everything in sight - homes, shops, and roads vanished within seconds.

Amid the chaos, one man emerged - battered, covered in mud, and clearly injured - but alive.

As the floodwaters raged through the village, someone from the sidelines could be heard shouting urgently, “Bhag, bhag!” urging the man to escape. The video then shows him crawling out from the debris-strewn mud, limping as he clings to tree branches for support. He drags himself forward, refusing to give up even in the face of such devastation.



Though his name and current medical status are still unconfirmed, the footage quickly went viral, with many calling him a symbol of hope and resilience. Emergency response teams have yet to clarify if he was eventually rescued or hospitalised.
