In a truly bizarre and dangerous scene that unfolded on Hyderabad’s PV Narasimha Rao Expressway, commuters were stunned to spot a heavily drunk man riding a camel at full speed down the busy road.

The incident, which could’ve easily turned tragic, was captured on video and shared on Instagram by Ikram Ullah Shah. Instead of simply filming the moment, Shah leapt into action—chasing the galloping camel while trying to alert vehicles around and urging the intoxicated rider to stop.

The video shows the man barely holding on to the reins as the camel raced perilously close to the edge. Shah, driving alongside, shouted warnings and even splashed water on the man in a desperate bid to make him halt. Eventually, the rider collapsed mid-run, passing out on the camel’s back—leaving the animal to charge ahead with no one in control.

Despite the chaos, Shah and his friend managed to intercept the runaway camel and tie it to a streetlight. The rider, still dangling limply, was helped down while mumbling incoherently.

Social media quickly hailed Shah and his friend as real-life heroes. Comments poured in praising their timely action. One user wrote, “In a world where many choose to look away, this one person chose courage! Saved countless lives and prevented accidents! Humanity needs more people like you who act when it matters the most. Truly commendable.” Another added, “You guys saved his life and major accidents, hats off. Nowadays, life is so unpredictable.”

What started as a shocking and absurd sight ended with an act of bravery—proving that sometimes, ordinary people can step up in extraordinary ways.
