A Sunday morning drive turned dramatic on Mumbai’s Coastal Road when a speeding Lamborghini spun out of control and smashed into a divider. The incident, caught on camera, left the luxury car damaged but its driver unharmed, police confirmed.

The accident occurred around 9:30 am, when the road was still wet from an early shower. In a video shared by industrialist and car enthusiast Gautam Singhania, the luxury car can be seen losing control before slamming into the barricade.

“Another day, another Lamborghini mishap. This time on Mumbai’s Coastal Road. Do these cars even have traction? From catching fire to losing grip - what’s going on with Lamborghini?” Singhania wrote while posting the clip.

According to Worli police, the driver was identified as 52-year-old Atish Shah, a resident of Nepean Sea Road. “The car skidded after which Shah lost control and crashed. He was not reported injured,” said senior inspector Arvind Patil.

Authorities have requested an RTO inspection to check for any mechanical issues. However, early reports suggest the slick road surface was the likely cause.

This isn’t the first Lamborghini scare on the stretch. On December 25, 2024, another model of the supercar caught fire on the Coastal Road. Flames engulfed the vehicle, but the blaze was brought under control in 45 minutes, with no injuries reported.
