School students sustain minor injuries as as bus rams truck, falls into ditch in Koderma
Koderma: Twenty-one students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, who were to Rajgir on an educational tour, sustained minor injuries when their school bus rammed the rear of a truck and fell into a ditch in Koderma Valley on Ranchi-Patna Road on Saturday. The students were a part of a batch of 75 which was travelling in two buses to the neighbouring state, under Centre’s PM Shri Scheme, the school management said. Police said the incident occurred around 8:30 am near ninth mile. As many as 31 students i were taken to sadar hospital of which 10 were discharged. Koderma civil surgeon Dr. Anil Kumar said, “Twenty-one girls are under treatment, and all are stable. Most students suffered minor injuries. One girl, however, sustained a rib fracture,” he said.
