Telangana Congress MLA Rekulapally Bhoopathi remarks on PM Narendra Modi spark political storm; BJP hits back
HYDERABAD: Congress MLA Rekulapally Bhoopathi Reddy from Nizamabad Rural constituency has stirred controversy after reportedly questioning how long PM Narendra Modi would live and whether Lord Ram would not exist in his absence.
The BJP strongly condemned Bhoopathi Reddy's remarks.
The party stated that " His comments are not merely an individual outburst but reflect Congress's deep-rooted disregard for Hindu sentiments."
According to reports, Bhoopathi Reddy had said that the BJP often tries to project itself as if Lord Rama was born only because of them and questioned whether Lord Rama would cease to exist if Modi were gone.
"If Modi dies, will Rama cease to exist? How many more days will Modi live? He is already 75 years old," he reportedly said during a meeting a week ago.
