Not all IIT moments are about books and equations and a viral video from IIT Delhi is proof. A group of students set Instagram on fire with their high-energy dance to the Bollywood hit Afghan Jalebi , turning an ordinary campus gathering into a full-blown celebration.

The clip, shared by Rajat Mahaur, has already crossed a million views. Captioned “Showing your IIT Juniors that IIT isn’t only nerdy,” it appears to be part of a freshers’ welcome, with seniors pulling off a synchronized and infectious performance that had the crowd cheering nonstop.

The video kicks off with the group confidently taking center stage, moving in perfect sync to Pritam’s chartbuster from Phantom. Their energy is contagious, and the hoots and whistles from classmates make it even more electric. Rajat cheekily captioned it, “From this showcase yo dance trophy—Long run.”

Social media couldn’t get enough. One user wrote, “They deserve to be featured in Guru Randhawa’s next movie,” while another quipped, “Nora Fatehi whooo?????” Someone even joked, “I can bet the one with glasses is the leader.”

Amid the flood of reactions, one viewer pointed out that the clip isn’t exactly new. Rajat confirmed, replying, “Well true.. 1 saal.” But the internet doesn’t seem to care old or not, the video is being loved like it dropped yesterday.

Afghan Jalebi, composed by Pritam for Kabir Khan’s 2015 film Phantom, remains a Bollywood favorite even after a decade. Its catchy beats still ignite dance floors, and the IIT Delhi students just gave it another iconic moment.

The performance shows that campus life at IIT is more than labs and late-night study sessions it’s also about music, laughter, and memories that go viral.
