A heart-stopping video has taken over social media, showing a man performing pull-ups while hanging off the edge of the Bhupen Hazarika Setu , India’s longest bridge. The stunt, carried out without any safety gear, unfolded hundreds of feet above the river in Assam.

Pull-Ups at the Edge of Danger

In the viral clip, the man grips a side beam of the 9.15-km-long bridge and pulls himself up with ease, leaving some viewers amazed by his strength and others alarmed by the danger. While a few hailed his fearlessness, many slammed the act as reckless and life-threatening.

The Real Risk Behind the Thrill

Authorities have stepped in, warning that such daredevil displays not only risk lives but also break safety laws. Police are scanning surveillance footage to track down the man, stressing that public infrastructure is no place for high-risk stunts.

The Bhupen Hazarika Setu, inaugurated in 2017, links Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, serving as a vital transport and strategic route. Officials fear that viral videos like this could inspire dangerous copycat behaviour.

Their message is clear while the stunt may look thrilling online, it could have ended in tragedy. Safety, they say, is not a performance.
