CBSE Recruitment Exam Dates 2026 Announced For Group A B & C Posts: Candidates preparing for recruitment to Group A, B and C posts under the Central Board of Secondary Education can expect a positive update. Applicants who have registered for these positions will soon appear for the Tier-1 recruitment examination. The board has officially announced the examination dates, allowing candidates to check and download the detailed schedule from the official CBSE website.

The announcement provides much-needed clarity for aspirants who have been waiting to finalise their preparation strategy for the upcoming recruitment process.

When Will The Examination Be Conducted

The recruitment examination will be held over two days, on 31 January and 1 February, 2026. On 31 January, written examinations will be conducted for the posts of Assistant Secretary, Assistant Professor, Assistant Director (Training), Assistant Director, Accounts Officer and Junior Translator. These exams will take place from 9.30 am to 11.30 am.

On the same day, the examination for the Superintendent post will be conducted in the afternoon session, scheduled from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Meanwhile, candidates who have applied for the Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant posts will appear for their examination on 1 February, 2026, between 9.30 am and 11.30 am.

Total Number Of Vacancies

Through this recruitment drive, the Central Board of Secondary Education aims to fill a total of 124 vacancies across Group A, B and C categories. The positions include administrative, academic and support roles within the organisation.

Exam Pattern For Tier-1

The Tier-1 examination will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 300 marks. The question paper will cover subjects such as Current Affairs, General Awareness, Mathematics, General Hindi, General English and Computer knowledge. Candidates will be given two hours to complete the examination.

Those who qualify in the Tier-1 examination will be shortlisted for the next stages of the recruitment process, which include the Tier-2 examination and an interview, depending on the post applied for.
