Apoorva Mukhija—better known online as The Rebel Kid—has once again ignited online debate with a fiery statement that’s turning heads and triggering reactions. In a recent interview with Zoom, the influencer praised women who “monetise their sexuality,” saying she’s proud of them.

“I think women who can monetise their sexuality are insane. Good for you, girlypops, I am proud of y’all,” she said, unapologetically. She added, “If men are stupid enough to see it, pay for it, then do it. I love it! They are the views.”

While some viewers saw it as an empowering take, the internet wasn’t too forgiving. The clip quickly went viral, and criticism poured in. Comments ranged from accusing her of being “characterless” to calling her a “hypocrite,” with some slamming the influencer ecosystem altogether.

This isn’t Mukhija’s first brush with backlash. Just months ago, she faced heavy flak during her appearance on India’s Got Latent alongside fellow influencer Ranveer Allahbadia (aka BeerBiceps). The show drew public ire after Allahbadia allegedly made offensive remarks and posed an inappropriate “Rs 2 crore” question involving a contestant’s body parts. He also asked a disturbing hypothetical involving parents, which led to a storm of complaints.

As the controversy deepened, Apoorva wiped her Instagram clean and later shared that the entire episode had impacted her mental health. She revealed suffering from sleep paralysis due to threats she received at the time.

Despite the storms, Apoorva is back on social media and was recently spotted in the reality show The Traitors. Still true to her brand, The Rebel Kid continues to live up to her name—loud, unapologetic, and always stirring the pot.
