The highly anticipated trailer of Kannappa, featuring Vishnu Manchu and Akshay Kumar, released on June 14, treating viewers to a lavish visual into a world rich in faith and mythology. Based on the myth of Kannappa, a warrior who turns devout follower of Lord Shiva, the movie combines religion, action, and sentiment into a big-screen spectacle.

Against stunning visuals and top-of-the-line VFX, the trailer brings Vishnu Manchu as the titular character, from a doubtful warrior who regards God as a mere stone, to a spiritual believer in Shiva. The movie promises intense emotional journeys and epic-scale action based on Indian mythology and faith. Vishnu Manchu Becomes Vishnu Prasad: Vishal Bhardwaj Adopts ‘Siddharth’ Again.

Akshay Kumar debuts in South Indian cinema as Lord Shiva, exhaling divine intensity on screen, with Kajal Aggarwal essaying Parvathi. Joining the star lineup, Prabhas plays Rudra, who acts as a spiritual mentor crossing Kannappa’s journey to divinity. Mohan Babu plays Mahadeva Shastri, and Sarath Kumar essays Nathanathudu. The veteran lineup also includes Mohanlal, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, and Raghu Babu in leading roles.

The cinematic wealth of the trailer is reflected in its lavish sets, war scenes, and spiritual aspects. The producers have left no stone unturned, with much of the film having been shot in the picturesque locations of New Zealand for added visual appeal.

The trailer release was postponed originally as a mark of respect for the tragic Air India crash victims in Ahmedabad. And now, with its official opening, Kannappa will have its theatre premiere on June 27 and has in store for audiences a high-octane mythological epic with grand visuals coupled with a tear-jerking story of love and transformation.
