F1 director Joseph Kosinski HAS discussed the rigorous preparation behind the action-packed film, disclosing that both Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt executed their own perilous stunts. The actors engaged in months of intense training to master real F1 cars, pushing their physical and mental boundaries to ensure authenticity on screen. Kosinski mentioned that the stunts were not merely for spectacle; they were essential for immersing viewers in the adrenaline of the sport.

He exclusively told Zoom, "They're very similar in that regard. They both prioritize authenticity and aim to provide the audience with the most genuine experience. This necessitated that they both perform these sequences themselves. Clearly, Tom and the jet, and Brad is actually behind the wheel in this film, which required months of preparation. It was a demanding training process because these cars are incredibly taxing on the body. You experience so many G's, and driving at these speeds is hazardous. However, the outcome is that you truly feel as if you're in the car, and that’s due to Brad's involvement."
