About 'Gadar 2'

In 'Gadar 2', the storyline tracks Tara Singh as he embarks on a daring mission to cross the border, aiming to rescue his son, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma, who has been taken captive in Pakistan. Set against the backdrop of Lahore in the year 1971, 'Gadar 2' skillfully maintains the gripping action sequences of its predecessor. Simultaneously, it effectively portrays Tara Singh's unyielding fury directed at those who fuel animosity between India and Pakistan.

Directed by Anil Sharma, 'Gadar 2' made its debut on August 11, simultaneously facing off with Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2'

Continuing the legacy of 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha', a 2001 film that unfolded against the poignant backdrop of India's 1947 Partition, this sequel delves further into the narrative. The movie is loosely inspired by the poignant tale of Boota Singh, a former British army soldier. His tragic romance with Zainab, a Muslim girl he rescued during the turbulent communal upheavals of the partition, forms the heart of the story. Helmed by director Anil Sharma, the film features the captivating performances of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles, alongside the memorable contributions of Amrish Puri and Lillete Dubey.
