Jaideep Ahlawat reveals why Ranbir Kapoor may not be a big star like Shah Rukh Khan: 'Zaroori nahi ki sirf talent ke naam pe aap itne bade star ho sako'

Actor Jaideep Ahlawat recently spoke about the ongoing discussion around stardom in Bollywood, which often draws comparisons between Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. The actor believes that both are distinct in terms of their experience and career trajectory, and therefore, comparing them serves no purpose.

In an interview with Lallantop, Jaideep remarked that he considers himself too small a person to comment on such comparisons. He also highlighted the difference between being popular and being a star. He stated that popularity and stardom are two entirely different things.

He also addressed the ongoing conversation about Ranbir Kapoor’s potential to achieve stardom like Shah Rukh Khan, driven by his current popularity. “I feel Ranbir Kapoor kamaal ka (wonderful) actor hai, brilliant actor hai. Ho sakta hai ki woh Shah Rukh Khan jitne bade nahi ho.”

Jaideep further explained that becoming a star like Shah Rukh Khan takes more than just acting skills.
“Shah Rukh Khan ko Shah Rukh Khan banane mein sirf abhinay nahi, woh jo ek judao hai na logon ke saath, uska bohot bada haath hojata hai. Zaroori nahi ki sirf talent ke naam pe aap itne bade star ho sako, ek abhinay ke talent ke naam pe.”
