Katy Perry has fuelled fresh breakup rumours with fiancéOrlando Bloom – just months after finally getting her hands on the luxury mansion they once planned to raise their daughter in.

The Firework singer, 40, took an 85-year-old war veteranto court in a long-standing, messy legal battle over the $30million eight-bed Montecito estate nestled in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains

But after all the drama, Katy quietly handed over the property toGuardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger. The unexpected move has left fans asking whether there’s more going on behind closed doors and if her long-time romance with Orlando, 48, could be on the rocks.

The Hollywood couple are staying at the sprawling estate with their three young children while their new Brentwood mansion is under construction. Homes in the star-studded neighbourhood - home to Oprah, Meghanand Harry. The estate can fetch up to $120,000 a month in rent.

A source said “The arrangement suits Chris, but it’s a surprise given how much Katy invested - emotionally, legally and financially in securing that home. She always said it was the perfect place to raise her daughter with Orlando. Now it looks like they won’t live there at all.”

The unexpected move comes amid whispers that Katy and Orlando, 48, are on the verge of calling time on their six-year engagement. The couple who have four-year-old Daisy Dove reportedly have been clashing behind closed doors, with tensions spilling over after Katy’s space trip back in April.

The singer made headlines with her 11-minute Blue Origin flight, where she floated in zero gravity holding a daisy in honour of her daughter before dramatically kissing the ground on landing. But sources claim Orlando found the whole stunt “embarrassing” and the pair had a fiery row after he told her it “looked ridiculous.” - leaving Katy ‘devastated.’

The pop star has also faced backlash over her latest album 143, with fans calling it her worst release yet - a harsh blow after a series of career setbacks in recent years.

Katy and Orlando met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016 before briefly splitting, then got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019. Their daughter was born in August 2020 - a month after Katy wrote a heartfelt letter to the property’s previous owner, telling him the Montecito home would be “a respite” and “the best place” to bring up their family.

That touching message, signed “Katy and Orlando”, now appears to be a distant memory.

The property itself was the centre of a bitter three-year court battle with 85-year-old Carl Westcott, who claimed he’d agreed to sell the home while recovering from surgery and under heavy medication.

Despite his lawyers arguing he was of “unsound mind”, Katy won the case though it came at a hefty cost - she reportedly spent millions on legal fees and hired 25 separate experts to try and knock down the final sale price. The case is still dragging on, with unresolved issues around damages and alleged lost rental value.

And this wasn’t Katy’s first time in a courtroom over a dream home either. Back in 2015, she became embroiled in a legal row with a pair of Roman Catholic nuns over a historic convent in LA. The feud turned tragic when one of the elderly sisters collapsed and died during a hearing - prompting the surviving nun to claim Katy had “blood on her hands”.
